The former Ferryhill Tavern on South College Street has been granted planning consent for its extension and change of use into a restaurant and function room. A sizeable rear extension is proposed to take the place of the jumbled mix of accommodation which exists presently.

This will vastly improve the appearance of the building in what is a prominent site on the southern artery into the city, whilst also creating high quality accommodation fit for today’s hospitality standards. A pared back approach to materiality and form will create a simple, elegant contemporary aesthetic which clearly distinguishes new from old.
