The West Balmedie Development Proposal is for a mixed use development, on land formerly occupied by East Aberdeenshire Golf Course, to augment and enhance the amenities already available in Balmedie.  

 

At the centre of the development are facilities such as a new health centre, primary school and playing fields. The Green Belt designated area of the site will be left undeveloped, a central area of residential amenity green open space is proposed and areas of existing woodland will be retained and augmented as landscape corridors.
