Our brief for Centro Court was to provide a high quality student accommodation block within a gap site between Loch Street and Jopps Lane in Aberdeen.  A high density approach was adopted, being wholly appropriate for this city centre location. Two 5-storey accommodation blocks, each addressing their opposing streetscapes, are served by a single circulation core, leading to walkway access decks on each level. 

 

A communal courtyard between the blocks (and a basement common room), along with generously wide access walkways, offer ample scope for social interaction between the residents of the 56 studio bedrooms.  All studios are dual aspect, have their own front door, kitchen, en-suite shower room, sleeping and study areas, creating a contemporary model for student living.
